We invite you to join a group of pickleball players who want to enhance our Sisters Country Community through the game of pickleball.
YEAR-ROUND OUTDOOR PLAY – SCPC hopes to make an announcement soon about outdoor play at a different location for Summer 2024.
INDOOR WINTER 2024 PLAY – Open to Club Members Only
Sisters Park and Recreation District (SPRD) is allowing our Pickleball club to reserve three courts Monday through Friday, 7:45 -10am at the Sisters Community Church Student Center gym at 1307 W McKinney Butte Road. The gym is owned by Sisters Community Church and SPRD leases the gym, so we work with them to schedule and play. Access is for Sisters Country Pickleball Club (SCPC) members only, although members may bring a guest as long as your guest joins the club on or before their first visit. If you are not currently a member of the club, go to https://sisterspickleballclub.com/member-reg-form-2023 and join the club. Membership forms are also available in room 7 at the gym. Membership is only $20. The time slots will be open to reservation through Playtimescheduler.com. A key will need to be obtained from the kindergarten teacher at 7:45am to both open the gym and room 7 to gain access to the nets and supplies. The person who opens the gym at 7:45am may enter from the West door. All other players must park and enter from the East side of the gym. All exterior doors must remain locked. Equipment must be taken down after play and basketball backboards returned to their original positions prior to the 10 am deadline. This allows teachers to return the students to their normal curriculum on time. If you are new to Sisters Country Pickleball Club, please contact us through the website to obtain a complete list of rules to reserve a court in the gym. Do not reserve a court until you have received all the rules for reserving at the gym. Please help our club keep our gym privileges! The fee is $20 per court for the 2-hour block. There is an envelope and a box for payments in Room 7 for reservations and new memberships. You will also see times scheduled at the same gym on Playtimescheduler.com on other evenings and Saturday morning. These times are a ministry outreach provided by Sisters Community Church and are not associated with the Pickleball Club.
Sisters Country Pickleball Club is a committee/activity of Sisters Park & Recreation District. For more information on adult and family recreation opportunities, see the Sisters Park & Recreation website: www.sistersrecreation.com
As of December 2023, Sisters Country Pickleball Club is active with more than 270 members playing at several private venues throughout the area. This number is expected to grow to 300 by spring of 2024. In partnership with Sisters Park and Recreation Department (SPRD) www.sistersrecreation.com the club is working hard to find a location and funding for eight courts. As of March 2024, the two temporary courts at the Elementary School on Locust Street have been demolished to make room for the new roundabout at Hwy 20/Locust St.
Our future plans will include more outdoor and indoor courts and eventually a community center that meets the needs of our whole Sisters Country community. We are excited to be in partnership with Sisters Park and Recreation Department to achieve our initial goal of developing eight public courts and to expand our dream as the enthusiasm for this sport grows.
Our Mission is to promote the health benefits of pickleball for all ages. We will provide opportunities for skill development, organized play and competitive play. We will promote pickleball in our schools.
We strive to have more fun by connecting with others who share a passion for pickleball. We will support the economic vitality of Sisters Country through pickleball events and activities.
Come join in the fun of pickleball. We invite you to join us in our efforts to advocate for public pickleball courts, both outdoor and indoor.
